The Avocado Dilemma

WHY OH WHY is it so hard to use an avocado before it's overripe??? Am I the only one who struggles with this on a regular basis? You buy it when it's hard as a rock, it sits patiently on your counter for days, and then by the time you remember its exists: BROWN AND MUSHY! The window of opportunity is too small, it's impossible! But I must say, there's nothing like catching an avocado at that moment it's perfectly ripe, so perhaps it's worth the struggle!

  1. This totally happens to me! But these last avocados that I purchased won't ripen at all, maybe they're rocks in disguise.

  3. Leave the avocados next to some bananas overnight, they'll be ripe the next day!

  5. Ooooh! I have a new tip too! When you do make guacamole, keep the pits and place them right in the guacamole. For some reason it keeps the guac from turning brown (well, maybe not forever, but at least it helps keep it longer than a few hours!)
